SELECTION OF TRAINEES
  • MOLMI inducts B.Sc. Nautical & B.E. Marine Graduates from various reputed institutes.

  • Selection and placements done on the basis of  Company’s future projections to ensure that the trainees
    get a placement on board MOL ships as an officer on completion of their training without long delays.
  • Scholarships awarded to deserving selected candidates during 3rd and 4th years of  pre- sea college.
  • Opportunity to sharpen practical skills on board on our own Training Ship “SPIRIT OF MOL”.
    Training cost borne by the company and cadet receives full stipend on board the Training Ship.
  • MOLMI arranges various In-House Training courses for selected trainees at company’s expenses
    in our own well equipped training centres.

 

 

  • LNG Carrier Standard Course attended by MOLNG(E) Staff and Omani seafarers from 08 to 19 March 2010. 
    Received very positive feedbacks from seafarers who have already embarked on LNG Carriers.
  • MOLMI starts mid-term Course for Dry Fleet Cadets and Assistant Engineers - A total of  51 Cadets and Assistant Engineers attended a 5 day programme in three batches from 29 March 2010 to 16 April 2010. The aim of the course is to reinforce the knowledge gained on board Spirit of MOL before embarking on regular vessels. Top Management of MOLMI devoted prolonged periods with the participants and had very useful interaction.
  • MOL LNG Carrier Standard Course undergoes a change - The existing LNG Carrier Standard course has been reformatted into two different courses - Operational Level and Management Level. MOLMI Staff attended a meeting in MOLTC Japan on 23 & 24 March to finalise the training contents.
  • MOLMI Staff attends MOL BRM Meeting: MOLMI Staff attended a one day meeting at MO Marine Consulting, Tokyo to incorporate two new exercises in the BRM Training. These exercises are based on two recent incidents in the MOL fleet.
  • Selection of Cadets / Assistant Engineers: MOLMI visited the Campuses in Chennai and Kolkata region in February and April to select Deck and Engine cadets graduating in 2011. Campus selection of cadets in Mumbai region is expected to be carried out in May 2010.
  • MOLMI Faculty will board an MOL vessel to carry out a Training Needs Study for topics related to electrical skills.
